Nancy Nieto joined the firm in 2009 after spending thirteen years with the Mayer Brown law firm in its Santa Fe, Houston and Charlotte offices. She practices in the areas of real estate law, construction law, zoning and land use and business law. She represents owners, developers and equity partners in connection with a full range of real estate projects including personal home purchases and sales, project design and construction, real estate development, acquisition and disposition, ground and space leasing, and joint ventures, as well as secured and mezzanine financing for development projects. Nancy also has extensive experience negotiating and drafting agreements with engineers, architects, other consultants and construction contractors, including design-build, fast-track and traditional owner-contractor and construction management agreements.
Nancy graduated cum laude from the University of San Diego School of Law (J.D, Order of the Coif; 1995) where she was an Assistant Editor of the University of San Diego Law Review. She is a graduate of San Diego State University (B.S., Accounting, 1976), and is licensed to practice law in New Mexico and California.
Her representative projects include assisted-care facilities, hotels, residential (for sale and rental) projects, mixed-use projects, shopping centers and industrial buildings. In addition, Nancy also has over ten years of local government experience in administration of public works construction projects, special assessment districts, land use and intergovernmental relations.
