Shareholder Mr. Herdman has practiced law since 1990. He is a graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School (J.D., magna cum laude, 1989) and the University of Michigan (B.A., high honors, 1984). Mr. Herdman was a member and Assistant Editor of the Buffalo Law Review (1988 to 1989). He has also served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at the Brooklyn Law School. Before moving to New Mexico, Mr. Herdman was an attorney at Sullivan & Cromwell in New York City, where he practiced in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, securities litigation and anti-trust law. His publications include Doctors, Insurers and the Antitrust Laws, Buffalo Law Review, Vol. 37, pp. 789-829, 1988/89. He also writes a regular column entitled Business & Law that appears in the Business Section of the Santa Fe New Mexican. Mr. Herdman is licensed to practice in the State of New Mexico. He is a past President of the First Judicial District Bar Association (2004) and currently serves as a volunteer member of the City of Santa Fe Bicycle Trails Advisory Committee and the City of Santa Fe Charter Review Commission. His practice encompasses the legal, strategic and transactional aspects of the areas listed above as well as litigation in those areas, including administrative practice before land-use tribunals, administrative appeals involving zoning and land-use decisions and representation of governmental entities on such matters.
