Shareholder James B. Alley, Jr. is a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law (LLB, 1962) and Harvard University (A.B., 1958). He has practiced law in New Mexico since 1966, first with the New Mexico Attorney General's Office and then with Stephenson, Campbell & Olmsted. Since 1968 he has been a partner or shareholder in this firm and its predecessors. From 1962 to 1965 he practiced law in New York with the firm of Debevoise & Plimpton. He is admitted to practice in each of such states and the Federal courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court. Mr. Alley has been a director of Century Bank, director and president of the New Mexico Environmental Law Center and a trustee of the Santa Fe Preparatory School. He was a member of the Board of Advisors of Coronado Ventures Forum, a promoter of new business ventures in New Mexico and a member of the Santa Fe County Plan Advisory Committee. His practice has emphasized the areas of corporate, business and real estate law, as well as trusts and estates.
